Why cars and roads, not transit, are solution to urban ills

My head must need examining. Here I am once again pointing out that the Emperor has no clothes to a crowd of admirers of the imperial fashion sense. Yes, I have once again stuck my finger in the eye of the smug elites who think the solution to the ills of our cities is to make people live in cramped conditions and get around on their bike or on the subway.
